I've just returned from a great conference in Leeds - ALT-C and was inspired by a project running in Uruguay where every child has been given a laptop with connection to the internet. It's an amazing thing - being as some schools don't have adequate facilities and some families now have more laptops than beds!
It was really heartwarming to see that the country are trying to eradicate the digital divide - where once a laptop was for the privileged - now it's a right!
